AirTran Airways credit cards are no longer issued. Old AirTran credit accounts have been converted to Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards credit cards. AirTran and Southwest combined their loyalty programs after the airlines merge. So, if you want, you can apply for a Southwest credit card or for a different credit card that will allow you to earn miles on all your flights. For example, it can be the Discover it® Miles credit card. Using this card you will earn unlimited 1.5 miles on all purchases. Discover will match all the miles you've earned at the end of your first year (if you are a new cardmember). For example, if you earn 35,000 Miles, you get 70,000 Miles. Miles can be redeemed with any airline without limitations.
