Before you apply for a credit card think which way you want to be rewarded. Do you want to earn cash back or points, or maybe you want to earn rewards toward your future travels? There are credit cards that will allow you to earn more on gas purchases and the cards that will equally reward you for every dollar you spend. Once you know the way you want to be rewarded, look at fees and interest rates. As a rule, the more rewards credit card offers, the higher the chances it has an annual fee and vice versa. As for interest rate, it is better avoid it by paying off the card balance each month.
