Pay Yourself Back is a useful benefit available to select Chase cardholders. This benefit allows eligible cardholders to exchange Chase Ultimate Rewards® for statement credits on certain purchase categories.
Typically, these cardholders can redeem Ultimate Rewards® points for a statement credit at a rate of one cent per point. But through Pay Yourself Back you can redeem Chase Ultimate Rewards® points to offset eligible purchases at an elevated rate.
In short, Pay Yourself Back allows cardholders to redeem their rewards at a value similar to booking travel. This is a good choice if you are looking for simple redemption options or have a pile of points you cannot immediately use.
The Pay Yourself Back benefit is also currently available with a few co-branded cards with an option to redeem points or miles for certain purchases.
