Now people who apply for and are approved for any of the three personal Southwest credit cards can get 60,000 bonus points as a signup bonus. How does this work? It’s pretty simple with each card when the cardholder buys $2,000 worth of merchandise or services during the first 90 days they have the card they get this bonus.

New cardholders will be able to get this bonus between now and June 10th, 2019. Just in case you are wondering which cards come along with this bonus, here they are:

  • Southwest Rapid Rewards Priority Credit Card
  • Southwest Rapid Rewards Plus Credit Card
  • Southwest Rapid Rewards Premier Credit Card

The ins and outs of the Southwest credit cards

Each card comes along with different benefits and fees. With the Southwest Rapid Rewards Plus Credit Card people earn double points when they book flights with Southwest, as well as when they book hotel stays and rent a car. All other purchases get them one point per dollar. When anniversary time rolls around they get 3000 points as an anniversary present. There is a 3% foreign traction fee with this card as well as a $69 annual fee.

What about the Southwest Rapid Rewards Premier Credit Card? It offers the same point earning capabilities as the Southwest Rapid Rewards Plus Credit Card, but at anniversary time cardholders get 6,000 points. It also comes along with the ability to earn up to 15,000 TQPs a year. They get 1,500 TQPs for every $10,000 they spend during the year. There are no foreign transaction fees when using this card abroad, but the annual fee for this card is $99.

Last but not least is the Southwest Rapid Rewards Priority Credit Card which also has the same point earning structure, but it comes along with 7,500-anniversary points. Plus this cards package comes along with some additional travel perks, including

  • $75 annual Southwest travel credit
  • Four upgraded boarding’s every year if they are available
  • 20% back when purchases drinks and Wi-Fi while you’re in the air

With the Southwest Rapid Rewards Priority Credit Card people can also earn up to 15,000 TQPs every year. They can scoop up 1,500 TOPs for each $10,000 they spend. Here too there are no foreign transaction fees, and the annual fee is $149.
