Wells Fargo and Expedia Group, the giant of online travel agencies, introduced two credit cards: One Key™ Card* and One Key+™ Card*.
Expedia Group consolidated its loyalty programs for its three brands - Expedia, Hotels.com, and Vrbo - into a single program called One Key. Now, consumers are offered two credit cards associated with the One Key loyalty program. The cards allow cardholders to earn OneKeyCash™ and give access to extra travel perks. However, cards' benefits differ slightly.
The One Key Card features no annual fee, elevated regards on Expedia, Hotels.com and Vrbo purchases, at gas stations, grocery stores, restaurants and food delivery, grants automatic Silver status in One Key loyalty program, offers cellular phone protection, trip cancellation and interruption protection, auto rental collision damage waiver, and travel accident insurance.
The One Key+ Card has all the benefits of the One Key Card, but offers higher rewards on everyday purchases, charges an annual fee, gives automatic Gold Member status, and additionally offers an anniversary bonus and a statement credit for Global Entry or TSA PreCheck.
Both cards also come with an intro bonus of $400 in OneKeyCash (required spend to qualify - $1,000 in the first 3 months) and $600 in OneKeyCash (required spend to qualify - $3,000 in the first 3 months) on One Key Card and One Key+ Card correspondingly.
The OneKeyCash you earn with the cards can be redeemed for eligible hotel bookings, car rentals, activities and more through Vrbo, Expedia and Hotels.com. Rewards earned as a One Key member can be combined with rewards you get when you use a One Key credit card.
The new One Key credit cards can be a great deal for those who often use Expedia, Hotels.com or Vrbo to book travel. The cards earn rewards even when you do not buy travel. Cardholders can grow their rewards balance by simply shopping at their favorite places, and then redeem rewards for the travel they want. The only limitation of the One Key rewards is that they can be used for travel only.
