If you have been waiting for the Citi Prestige® Card from Citi, a Credit-Land.com advertising partner, to start taking applications again, you are in luck the card is now open for new cardholders. The card also comes along with 50,000 bonus points when cardholders spend $4,000 with their card within the first 90 days of having their new card.

When cardholders bank the 50,000 points they can trade them in for $500 worth of travel. There are no blackout dates with this card as long as people use the ThankYou Travel Center to book their trip.

Once cardholders earn their bonus they keep earning points. They earn 5x points when booking airline tickets and when eating out. What about booking a hotel stay? They earn triple points when they book a hotel room, and when paying for a cruise. All other purchases earn them 1 point per dollar spent. There is no limit to how many points people can earn and points do not expire.

Free nights and lounge access

Citi Prestige® Card includes a variety of travel-related perks and benefits including a free fourth night when booking a hotel stay of four nights. In order to get the fourth night for free, they must book their stay via the ThankYou Travel Center. Starting on September 1 of 2019 cardholders will only be able to take advantage of this perk two times a year.

Chilling out in a lounge can make traveling easier and more fun, and with this card, cardholders get access to a variety of lounges via Priority Pass.

To cover some travel costs cardholders can also get up to $250 in travel credits each year. They do not have to sign up for this perk the credit is automatically applied when they make eligible purchases.

Transferring points

What about transferring points to airline loyalty programs? Yes, cardholders can transfer their points to a variety of carriers, including Virgin Atlantic Flying Club, Singapore Airlines Krisflyer and TrueBlue.
