American Airlines is a member of Oneworld alliance, and if you fly with any airline from the alliance, you may consider getting another airline credit card. However, most airline credit cards are more or less the same in terms of rewards and usually come with high annual fees. If you need a credit card without an annual fee, you could consider applying for a regular travel rewards credit card that will allow you to earn miles everywhere, on all your purchases. Travel rewards cards also allow redeeming earned miles with any airline without blackout days, which gives flexibility you may need when your travel with different airlines or choose combined itineraries.
