The Diamond Resorts Mastercard gives you 2 Diamond Plus Points for Diamond Resorts purchases, which is exactly how much rewards co-branded cards usually give you. Additionally, you can earn 2,500 points after your first purchase and 500 points for every 2,000 in spend. If you spend a lot on Diamond Resorts purchases, it may be ok, but keep in mind that down payments won't earn you rewards.

if you don't spend enough at Diamond Resorts to justify owning this card, go for regular travel cards that will reward you with mile, points or cash back for any purchases.
