Be sure to apply for a card that accepts those with bad credit because a rejection and a couple of hard inquiries could cause a major ding to your credit score which would be counterproductive. However, there are a number of cards that cater to those with bad credit or you can get a secured card to help improve your credit. Make sure you keep the balances low and pay your bills on time.
