The AirTran Airways credit card no longer exists, it was converted to a Southwest Airlines credit card after the two airlines merged. So if you fly with Southwest, you can apply for their card but if you don’t fly with then or fly just from time to time, we would recommend you to apply for a credit card which is not tied to a particular airline. For example, it can be a travel rewards credit card. Such card will allow you to earn miles rewards on all your purchases and redeem them with any airline.
