News: American Express® Adds Membership Rewards® Points Redemption Option Through Apple Pay - Credit-Land.com

Now eligible American Express cardholders can use their Membership Rewards points directly through Apple Pay when checking out online or in apps on an iPhone or iPad. This feature makes it easier to use points on everyday purchases without leaving the Apple Pay checkout experience, opening another app or completing additional redemption steps.

This capability is enabled by American Express' new feature - Use Pay With Points with Apple Pay. It's designed to be a seamless part of the checkout process. Here's how it works:

  • Shop online or in apps on iPhone or iPad.
  • Select Apple Pay at checkout.
  • Choose an eligible American Express® Membership Rewards® Card.
  • Select "Use Rewards" during checkout and enter the amount to apply toward the eligible purchase. You can use points to cover all or part of your purchase.
  • Redeem Membership Rewards points seamlessly by completing the Apple Pay transaction.

Cardholders can use points toward all or part of an eligible purchase. When you add your eligible American Express card to Apply Pay, the Use Rewards option should appear automatically during checkout.
