Citi Prestige credit card offer has expired

Travelers will be able to use their Citi ThankYou points for more of their globetrotting adventures, thanks to new points transfer partnerships with international hotel and airline programs.

Air France-KLM, Asia Miles, Hilton HHonors Worldwide, Qatar Airways Privilege Club and Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer are just a few of the high-profile travel programs that will now accept Citi ThankYou points for transfer to their loyalty programs.

The partnership will let Citi customers use ThankYou points at resorts in 91 countries and at over 4,000 Hilton hotels worldwide. Folks can transfer an unlimited amount of ThankYou points to any of the new international points transfer partners.

Full list of travel partners

The new ThankYou points transfer partners are:

  • Air France-KLM

  • Asia Miles

  • Etihad Airways Guest

  • EVA Air Infinity MileageLands

  • Garuda Indonesia GarudaMiles

  • Hilton HHonors Worldwide

  • Malaysia Airlines Enrich

  • Qatar Airways Privilege Club

  • Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer

  • Thai Airways Royal Orchid Plus

To transfer points, members log into their account online, choose a participating travel rewards program, and click “transfer now.” They can choose the number of points they’d like to transfer, with a minimum of 1,000 points required to transfer. Conversion is one ThankYou point per mile, or one ThankYou point per 1.5 Hilton HHonors Bonus Point.

There are no blackout dates for travelers using Citi ThankYou Rewards to book tickets through its portal. Points don’t expire, and there is no cap on how many ThankYou points cardmembers can earn.

Citi Prestige Card combined with American Airlines/US Air offers best value

Holders of the Citi Prestige card can book travel through the ThankYou Travel Center for the best value. American Airlines and US Airways offer the best redemption value: they can get a $415 American Airlines or US Airways ticket for 25,000 points. A comparable ticket on another airline would cost 31,000 points.

The Citi Prestige card offers extra convenience for international travelers because it is EMV chip enabled. This technology means it is accepted around the globe, where magnetic-stripe cards might not be usable. Other traveler perks include no foreign transaction fees, and dedicated concierge service available around the clock, seven days a week.

Flexible redemption

Besides travel, Citi customers can redeem ThankYou points for gift cards, concert tickets, statement credits, bill payments, merchandise, or charitable donations. They can also shop with points on and, or get a Rewards Account Number to use their points balance to pay for purchases at any merchant that accepts Visa or MasterCard.
