Eating out at Chili's Grill & Bar just became more lucrative for Plenti members with the restaurant chain signing a deal in which they are now a partner in the multi-brand loyalty coalition operated by American Express. Chili's is joining a wide range of national brands that have already signed on to Plenti including AT&T, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Hulu, ExxonMobil, Macy's, Nationwide, Rite Aid and Direct Energy.
"By joining the Plenti coalition, we're taking our current loyalty program to the next level and giving our 4.4 million My Chili's Rewards members greater value, more options and flexibility when it comes to earning and redeeming rewards," said Krista Gibson, chief marketing officer for Chili's Grill & Bar. "Plenti allows us to reach a much larger population of potential guests through a very effective and efficient communication channel, while continuing to reward Chili's most loyal guests." For Plenti this deal is the beginning of their expansion into a new category - casual dining.
Chili's My Rewards members get more
Individuals already enrolled in the My Chili's Rewards program will be able to earn and redeem Plenti points while eating in the restaurant or ordering Chili's Fresh Tex and Fresh Mex items from the chain's to-go menu. This new addition should be up and running system wide by the second part of the year.
While people will be able to access the Plenti benefits, they will also keep their status in the My Chili's Rewards program with no changes.
Good 'n' Plenti
American Express launched Plenti in May 2015 to give members ways to earn and use points with a variety of brands without having to use a rewards-earning credit card.
People can sign up for the program for free at partner locations like Rite Aid or AT&T, but they can also sign up via the Plenti website or by downloading the mobile app via Google Play or the Apple App Store.
With this program there is no limit to how many points people can earn. What are the value of points? In this case 1,000 points can be cashed in for $10 to be used on Plenti partners. Special promotions also allow people to earn more points.
