News: H-E-B and Central Market Now Have Credit Cards With Unlimited Cash Back - Credit-Land.com

H-E-B, a Texas-based grocery chain, and Central Market, a gourmet grocery store chain owned by H-E-B Grocery Company, launched their own credit cards: the H-E-B Visa Signature® Credit Card and Central Market Visa Signature® Credit Card.

Both credit cards have no annual fee and offer unlimited cash back on groceries and everyday purchases. Cardmembers can earn 5% cash back on eligible items purchased at H-E-B, Central Market, Joe V's Smart Shop, and Mi Tienda stores and locations where Curbside and Home Delivery are available. The 5% rate applies only to items of the H-E-B family brands, which include products from H-E-B, Central Market, Hill Country Fare, Field & Future by H-E-B, Kodi, Cocinaware, GTC and more.

Both cards also get the unlimited 5% cash back on all orders with Favor Delivery. Plus, all other purchases will always earn 1.5% cash back whether you buy at H-E-B or at other locations.

Unfortunately, the H-E-B and Central Market cards do not offer any welcome bonus. Plus, you won't be able to add an authorized user to your H-E-B credit card or request a credit limit increase.

On the bright side, consumers can pre-qualify for either of the credit cards without impacting their credit score. However, if you continue your application, the issuer can perform a hard pull on your credit reports. Once approved, you will immediately get a virtual card and can start using it right away. A physical credit card should arrive within around 10 business days.

The H-E-B and Central Market credit cards can be a great option for those who love H-E-B branded products. Otherwise, a regular credit card might be a better option. For example, it can be a credit card like the Capital One Quicksilver Cash Rewards for Good Credit card that gives 1.5% cash back on all purchases. Or, you can earn even more with the Citi Double Cash® Card or Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card - both give 2% cash back on all purchases.
