News: Meet New United Credit Cards - Credit-Land.com

Chase and United overhauled their United co-branded credit cards. New card benefits include more travel credits, easier elite status earning, and seat upgrades (added to some cards). The total value of these benefits ranges from over $800 for Explorer to $2,000 for the United Club cards. What is especially great is that the new benefits are available to new and existing cardholders effective immediately.

However, good news never comes alone. New benefits mean higher annual fees across all United cards (except for the no-annual-fee card). Also, some perks now require spending, Star Alliance lounge access is restricted now (unless you spend a lot), and there are additional limits to gift United Club passes.

Still, the majority of existing perks are not changing and remain available. Such benefits as checked baggage, Premier Access, and in-flight discounts are unaffected. Also, rewards earning rates are not reduced. Let's look at a brief summary of some new benefits to note below.

The New United℠ Explorer Card (over $800 in total value):

  • Earn a 10,000-mile award flight discount for a future ticket
  • Earn $100 in United® travel credits
  • Receive up to $100 in credits on United® Hotels purchases annually
  • Receive up to $50 in United travel credits on Avis or Budget purchases annually
  • 3-month complimentary Instacart+ membership (terms apply), plus up to $120 in Instacart credits annually (terms apply)
  • Earn up to $60 in credits on rideshare purchases annually.

The New United Quest℠ Card (over $1,000 in total value):

  • Earn an annual $200 United travel credit
  • Earn a 10,000-mile award flight discount annually
  • Earn 2 global Economy Plus® seat upgrades each year
  • 1,000 Card Bonus PQP each qualification year, starting in 2026
  • Receive up to $100 in credits on rideshare purchases annually
  • 3-month complimentary Instacart+ membership (terms apply), plus up to $180 in Instacart credits annually (terms apply).

The New United Club℠ Card (over $2,000 in total value):

  • United Club℠ membership included - at least a $750 value per year
  • Receive 4 one-time United Club℠ passes after earning United Club℠ All Access Membership and adding an authorized user on your account
  • Earn up to 20,000-miles in award flight discounts annually
  • 1,500 Card Bonus PQP each qualification year, starting in 2026
  • Receive up to $150 in credits on rideshare purchases annually
  • Complimentary Instacart+ membership (terms apply) and up to $240 in Instacart credits annually (terms apply).

The New United Gateway℠ Card remains a no-annual-fee card while providing new benefits like the ability to earn 2 checked bags each year (terms apply) and savings on award flights.

Business owners were not left aside either. United business cards also got new benefits and premium perks to make business trips more comfortable and productive.
