News: Southwest Offers Companion Pass to New Cardmembers - Credit-Land.com

The Southwest Companion Pass is one of the most valuable airline benefits you could wish for. It is usually pretty hard to earn a companion pass, but not during this promotion for new Southwest credit card members.

The Southwest Companion Pass allows you to choose one person to fly with you almost free every time you purchase or redeem points for a flight. You are only required to pay taxes and fees for a companion ticket. Taxes and fees start at $5.60 per one-way flight.

Usually, you can earn the Southwest Companion Pass by accumulating 125,000 qualifying points or flying 100 qualifying one-way flights in a calendar year. However, now new Southwest cardholders can earn a Companion Pass plus 30,000 points after spending $5,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.

This limited-time offer ends on March 14, 2022. If you manage to earn a Companion Pass, it'll be valid through February 28, 2023.
