Second, you can get a travel credit card and actually earn miles without taking any flights. Go shopping, eat out, see a movie and collect tons of miles with credit cards like the Discover it® Miles. It gives you good 1.5 miles per dollar on all purchases and matches all miles at the end of the first year (provided you are a new cardmember), making them twice as many. Go get it!
