US residents are offered two Avianca credit cards through the LifeMiles program: Avianca Vida Visa® Card and Avianca Vuela Visa® Card. The first, the Vida card, won't allow you to have an extra checked bag free. However, if you are an Avianca Elite Program member with Gold or Diamond status, you can have one extra checked baggage free. The second card, the Vuela card, allows you to have a free additional piece of baggage. Note that a free checked bag is allowed for Avianca flights and for flights between the United States and Central America.
