The number of rewards you earn with a credit card depends on the rewards earning rate of this card and how much you spend with it. With the RCI credit card you get 2 rewards for RCI purchases and 1 reward for all other purchases. So, if you spend $1,000 on purchases with this card every month, you’ll get 1,000 rewards, which is equal to $10. $1,000 spent on RCI purchases will get you 2,000 rewards and $20 correspondingly. Now, the main question is whether you spend a lot on RCI purchases. If you only use the card a couple of times a month, there are far better options, and almost most of the general travel credit cards will work better for you.
For example, the Discover it® Miles credit card will give you 1.5 miles per dollar on all purchases and all your rewards will be matched at the end of the first year or card usage (provided that you are the new cardmember). So, if you earned 30,000 miles, you’ll get 60,000 miles. Miles are equal to 0.01 dollar, they never expire and there’s no limit to how many you can earn.
