If you had a bad experience with First Premier in the past, it would be better if you avoid applying for their cards again to eliminate the risk of being denied. Instead consider a secured credit card. Secured credit cards are good for people with bad credit even if they filed bankruptcy in the past. These cards require a security deposit which can be about $200. Your credit line will be equal to the deposit and your credit performance will be reported to the major credit bureaus. Make monthly payments on your card, stay within limits and you will be able rebuild your credit history.
