Yes, you will earn miles rewards on all your purchases. The Discover it® Miles credit card does not limit you to travel only or specific purchases. You can use the card everywhere and earn 1.5 miles for every dollar spent. Balance transfers do not earn rewards. However, we would not recommend you use this card for balance transfers as it does not offer 0% APR but a low 10.99% interest rate for 14 months, when the introductory interest rate is over, the ongoing APR will apply. If you need a credit card to transfer your debt, you may like the Citi Simplicity® Card - No Late Fees Ever credit card. It comes with a 12-month 0% APR on purchases and 21-month 0% APR on balance transfers (the balance transfer fee is 5% of each balance transfer; $5 minimum. When the introductory interest rates are over, the ongoing APRs will apply). The card has no rewards program, so you will be able to concentrate on repayments without being tempted to spend more. The card has no annual fee, no late fees, and no penalty rate.
