A credit card with cash back rewards can be a good alternative. For example, it can be the Discover it® Cash Back credit card. Earn 5% cash back on everyday purchases at different places each quarter like Amazon.com, grocery stores, restaurants, and gas stations, up to the quarterly maximum when you activate. All other purchases earn 1% cash back. If you don't want to deal with sign-ups, then you may want to apply for a different card. But don't look at rewards programs only, look at the fees and interest rates as well. If you are going to use the card everywhere, you may want a no annual fee credit card with low interest rate.
