News: Capital One Launches Two Student Credit Cards - Credit-Land.com

This week Capital One launched two new student credit cards designed to provide more choice for customers who want to start building their credit and not deny themselves rewards.

The two new credit cards are the Capital One SavorOne Student Cash Rewards Credit Card and Capital One Quicksilver Student Cash Rewards Credit Card. These cards are in fact student versions of Capital One's main credit cards, but with slight variations to cater to the needs of students. Whether you are at a 4-year university, community college or other higher education institution, this card might be an option for you.

Both new student credit cards are cash back credit cards. However, they do not have welcome bonus offers. Earned cash back can be redeemed as statement credits, for cash, to cover recent purchases, or for gift cards. Also, rewards can be used to pay via PayPal or for shopping and paying for Amazon purchases. The cash back rewards are unlimited and won't expire for the life of the account.

Here's a quick review of the new student credit cards from Capital One.

The Capital One SavorOne Student Cash Rewards Credit Card:

- Unlimited 3% cash back on dining, entertainment, popular streaming services and at grocery stores (excluding superstores like Walmart® and Target®)

- 1% on all other purchases

- 8% cash back on tickets at Vivid Seats through January 2023

- No annual fee, foreign transaction fees, or hidden fees

- Automatic reviews for a higher credit line in as little as 6 months

- Exclusive access to experiences in sports, dining, and entertainment.

The Capital One Quicksilver Student Cash Rewards Credit Card:

- Unlimited 1.5% cash back on every purchase, every day

- No annual fee, foreign transaction fees, or hidden fees

- Automatic reviews for a higher credit line in as little as 6 months

- $0 fraud liability if your card is ever lost or stolen

- Exclusive access to experiences in sports, dining, and entertainment.

With the addition of these two credit cards, Capital One now offers three credit cards for students to choose from: SavorOne Student, Quicksilver Student, and Journey Student.
