Since you have accounts at Chase it may be easier for you to qualify for the Chase Freedom* card. Note that there is a card that is similar to the Chase Freedom credit card – the Discover it® Cash Back credit card. Like the Chase’s card, this card will allow you to earn 5% cash back in rotating categories (up to the quarterly maximum when you activate) and 1% back everywhere else. The Discover card is not a Visa card, but you should not face any problems with card’s acceptance. Another thing that is different is the interest rate. The Discover it® Cash Back comes with a lower interest rate. However, the 0% intro APR is the same - 15 months (when the introductory interest rate is over, 18.74% - 27.74% Variable APR on purchases will apply). Both cards have no annual fee. So, if you are not approved for the Chase card, you may want to apply for its almost twin card – the Discover it® Cash Back card.
